Born and raised in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta I lived my childhood exploring nature every chance I had. Having the North Saskatchewan river running through our town provided an ideal setting to grow up in. Every day there were new areas to explore, animals to observe and endless backwoods to live out my childhood imagination.
Carleton University in Ottawa was the next big step in securing my future as an Industrial Designer, a profession I have continued for the last fifteen years, ten of which have kept me at DESIGNSTUDIO Inc., my own design firm.
Industrial Design has taken me throughout Canada as well as overseas were I worked in a design firm in Osaka, Japan for over 2 years. For the first year I lived in northern Osaka in a district named Mino City. Following that I moved north to Kamakura, a cultural city full of art and history that is one hour south of Tokyo. The Japanese culture alone was enough for me to observe and absorb every day, but add in the countryside’s scenery and you have an ideal setting for creativity to flourish.
Currently living in Port Coquitlam, BC with my wife and my two outstanding daughters. Enjoy the site along with my blog and if you have any questions please contact me.
