PAW 25 :: Uno Cherry
I love this composition. So simple and yet so bold.
I had this composition in mind for quite some time and had time to paint it over the last couple of days. I will be entering it into a FCA chapter show this August.
PAW 24 :: Brunch
I have been working on this for about a week or so and finally completed it. It is a macro shot of the handle of a spoon laying on an orange. The underpainting was primarily purples and reds. Overall I really like the effect of this one.

PAW 23 :: Cherry in Dish
A second study looking at a single cherry in a dish. The white dish will be the hardest part of the painting when it comes down to it. It is all about what colour white - greenish or blue-ish and how much of it.

PAW 22 :: Three Cherries
This is a preliminary painting of series I will be working on after I complete the candy apple. I learned a lot from this study that I can correct for the final paintings.

PAW 21 :: Landscape
OK, so we are on week 28 and I am on painting 21. :) I am not too far behind that I cannot catch up.
This is a landscape on a sample of Richeson’s new Premium Pastel Surface (5×7" card) on gator board. The surface seemed textured enough, almost Wallis like, but after a wash of watercolour and a couple coates of pastels I noticed it didn’t have much tooth for my liking.
No worries, as this was just a test painting. The end result is alright but nothing I would hang on my wall.
