PAW #6 :: Binder Clip
I will be in a Dianna Ponting workshop all weekend and wanted to get my weekly painted before I ran out of time.
I picked up the first thing that I saw in my studio - a binder clip. Black is more difficult to paint than I thought it would be.
Painted on white 9×12" Canson Mi-Tienes.

Brush Study
I had to get into a painting last night even though it was late. I was looking for a simple still life object and saw this brush, picked it up and everything just fell into place. I love days like that.
It is 9×12" on blue/grey Canson Mi-Tientes. Very happy with the composition and the final outcome.

PAW #5 :: Box
I used my study of the box previously for this painting. I fixed the perspective and opened up th scene as well.
New to me was incorporating an under painting in water colour. I had a piece of 9×12 Wallis paper that I resurrected from a previous painting gone wrong and decided to give it a try. I under painted with complimentary colours but I think I went a little too dark on them.

Best in Show!!
My painting, "Luscious", just won the FCA "Best in Show" in the Red & Gold exhibition. To say I am delighted is an understatement.

Still Life Box

I posted my still life box in a post regarding my Painting A Week #4 on WetCanvas and was asked to show how I made the box itself. So, for those of you that are interested, here is a PDF of the instructions on how to make one.
